Bridd lives a boring life, crummy job, no friends. But he's hiding something about himself. One day he receives a package from his mother; she's been dead twenty years. Inside there's a small device he can't turn on. Later that night, he and co-worker Charlotte return to his house and discover their boss murdered. Out of nowhere, masked men attack.
