It's hard to believe anything eleven-year-old Eddie Torres says--because he thinks a good story can make life so much more exciting. But the truth is, he's about to embark on an adventure that's more farfetched than anything he could have ever imagined, when his dog, Crawford, vanishes during a game of fetch. Eddie chases after him and tumbles into a strange land where animals can talk, lost things magically fall from the sky, and finders-keepers is the law. Nothing about this place makes sense, so Eddie must rely on the one thing that he knows can get him out of trouble: making up stories. With the help of a girl named Dori, Eddie sets off to find his beloved pet. But will his gifted way with words be enough or will Eddie end up just as lost as Crawford?
